The final event of the BRIDGES project is the International Conference “Dismantling Walls, Building Bridges: Feminist Anti-racist Alliances for a Radical Education” which took place on 7th and 8th July in Barcelona. The conference programme was divided into two sessions that occupied the afternoons of each day. On the first day, there was a discussion between the feminist anti-racist researchers and activists Lisset Fernández and Karina Fulladosa, who replaced Norma Falconi (all of them from Sindillar/Sindihogar), Encarnación Gutiérrez (University of Frankfurt) and Marisela Montenegro (Universitat Autònoma of Barcelona), about the limits and possibilities of decolonising the university. There was also a public presentation of the monograph produced by the BRIDGES project, entitled “Tearing down walls, building bridges: Creating feminist anti-racist alliances within, outside and against universities”. On the second day of the conference, with a more applied character, there was a series of workshops facilitated by project partners and other collaborators, and an anti-racist care tour, facilitated by Sindillar/Sindihogar. This International Conference gathered more than 80 participants (scholars, students, researchers, teachers, activists and citizens…) from local, national and international levels interested in generating forms of knowledge and pedagogical practices from a feminist anti-racist perspective.
