On the 27th of May, Sindillar joined a round table focused on antiracist pedagogy and community-based strategies for social action, from a grassroots perspective. The event was organised by the Escoleta Popular de Sants, a libertarian and self-sustained organization that works with critical pedagogies in non-formal education contexts. This was the first of a series of events that will focus on alternative pedagogical tools, in order to give visibility to small collectives and projects that have been working on these topics. Gigi (Sindillar’s representative in this context) was both presenting Sindillar’s workshops as well as the tools and experience that emerged from BRIDGES. The conversation was held together with representatives of La Escuelita Antirracista, a migrant organization promoting anti-racist education in schools. The event was a really cheerful opportunity to discuss and connect experiences, as well as collectively reflect on how to strengthen the interconnection among projects and practices that are already taking place on a local level.
